In 7th grade Social Studies, we study early American history -- from European colonization of North America through the Civil War.

 

We watch CNN Student News almost every day to keep up on current events. Students have a better appreciation of history if they understand current events -- and vice versa! That's why I love teaching history.

 

Our class might have a few projects this year with plenty of options – from writing, to building a model, to creating an electronic presentation. Students have choices that fit their style. And they will always know with plenty of time to get supplies. No surprises!
